We also offer CAREER GROWTH and much more! SUMMARY: This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. This job is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards in a dual jurisdiction facility (FDA and USDA). RESPOBSIBILITIES: * Serve as an SQF practitioner & HACCP coordinator in the facility. * Verify sanitation pre-operational inspections and advise the sanitation management of any deficiencies. * Responsible for FSQA pre-operational inspection & plant start-up in the mornings. * Develop corrective actions whenever necessary; assist in determining the root cause and develop preventative actions. * Participates in the development, training, execution, and verification of all food safety and quality systems. * Review, monitor, organize, and maintain the routine paperwork related to the quality, regulatory, food safety, sanitation, SQF, and customer specific documentation. * Update procedures/forms and train team members on new practices when necessary. * Ensures compliance to all regulatory, customer, and corporate programs. Participates in regulatory, customer, and internal audits, and maintains federal, state and local plant compliance. * Perform and co-lead the internal auditing program. * Ensures company policies and procedures are fairly implemented and administered between departments and shifts. * Ensures sanitary conditions and product quality and safety while reporting conditions/practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality, or employee safety. * Maintain technical competency in plant computer programs and quality related systems. * Investigate and resolve holds customer complaints and challenges to efficiency. * Innovate to improve the effectiveness of the quality system to better serve the business. * Lead the HACCP/Food Safety team. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment. * Demonstrated leadership ability, and strong communication skills. * Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations. * Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. * Vendor accountability * Other related duties as assigned. * Other responsibilities include: production paperwork verification; production floor checks; performing GMP and housekeeping audits; responsible for Team Member food safety training. Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities evaluating results coordinating with others. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality.
