The Associate II/Credit Risk Specialist,supports mitigating customer credit risk by working with Moody's Credit Catalyst system to set credit limits for new and existing customers. Monitors prepayment orders to ensure customer payment are received in advance of shipment. Assists business partners with the structuring of non-standard terms and conditions. Maintains Nordson's AR Master Data integrity. Position requires an individual who has broad knowledge of analyzing credit risk to ensure limited exposure to Nordson Corporation. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities * Works with Moody's Credit Catalyst to ensure credit limit logic is performing according to Nordson standards. * Monitor customer prepayment orders and reviews for payment. Ensures prompt application of payment to invoice so that order may be released appropriately * Interact with customers, both internally and externally to identify and resolve outstanding issues in a timely and professional manner * Maintain AR Master Data integrity by monitoring invoice failures and addressing root cause issue with the appropriate support groups * Ensure customer accounts are assigned to appropriate collectors and customer risk categories are accurate to maintain consistent treatment of like customers * Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements Education: * Requires High School Diploma or GED; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred Experience: * Minimum 2 years relevant experience is required with an Associate degree * Minimum 4 years relevant experience is required without a degree * Strong background in credit extension Preferred Skills and Abilities * Knowledge of financial statements, credit reports and credit references * General knowledge of changing economic conditions * Knowledge in use of personal computer and PC Software (Microsoft Office) * Knowledge of SAP * Bankruptcy and Security Agreement and UCC1 management and filing * Superior written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills * Superior organizational, decision-making and follow-up skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Ability to adjust to flexible environment * Ability to problem solve through technical and analytical analysis * Strong skills in experience and improvisation through the use of innovative thinking * Experience in the Manufacturing industry a plus * Outstanding customer focus including attributes of empathy, compassion and service orientation * Passionate and high energy which can assist in selling future vision to customers * Strong detail orientation, with focus on data quality * Adaptability/flexibility which includes being open to change and conducting business differently * Focused on continuous learning and developing new skills Working Conditions and Physical Demands Office environment.
