Job Title: Application EngineerJob Description

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Participate in the design and engineering of new products utilizing phased or stage-gate scheduling techniques. Work with the production team to make product design changes to improve quality, productivity, or other operational objectives. Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Review and approve production drawings/specifications, adding recommendations to enhance design, reduce costs, or increase production efficiency. Prepare all documentation necessary for production and customer support, including proposals, quotes, drawings, BOM, schematics, product selections, manuals, and technical instructions. Work with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical and supply issues, improve system features and capabilities, investigate sources of special equipment, material, or devices, obtain quotes, prepare requisitions, and qualify supplier components. Assist in multiple ongoing projects and meet project task deadlines as assigned by Sales, Operations, and Management. Read, interpret, and communicate wiring diagrams, program logic, and electrical schematics. Execute proper root cause and corrective action methodology.

Hard Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Thermal Dynamic calculations

• Experience with Data Centers and HVAC

• Experience with AutoCad or Solid Works

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Amherst, New York.

Work Environment

Hybrid or remote depending on experience; manager currently sits remote. Great company culture but pretty fast paced.
