The Area Manager, Test Strips is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and hands-on involvement. This position will plan and execute daily activities to ensure internal and external customer demands are met. This leader will drive continuous improvement across key indicators by using problem-solving and Lean tools. They will measure and give feedback to associates to ensure the team has the right talent.

This position is part of the Test Strips department located in Ames, Iowa, and will be on-site. This position will primarily be working on 2nd shift.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Safety first focus to protect associates and comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Provide leadership direction to engage the team in the line production of test strips, focus on coaching, teaching and development.

  • Meet quality and delivery goals & requirements of customers.

  • Collaborate cross functionally with a focus on continuous improvement by using lean tools.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 3 or more years of leadership experience.

  • Responsible for utilizing data-driven action plans to improve standard work and performance.

  • Supervisory responsibility includes approximately 20-25 hourly direct reports.

  • Ensure associates are knowledgeable of and comply with company policies.

  • The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $93,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

  • This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

  • We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.

  • Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 - $93,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
