Consolidated Nuclear Security LLC ETO ESS STR Engineer in Amarillo, Texas
The Engineering Services Subcontracts Management group within the Engineering Technical Operations (ETO) organization is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the process to secure external Mission Engineering services for task-based subcontracts and staff augmentation subcontracts. As a Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) in this group, you will be responsible for providing oversight of Mission Engineering (ME) basic ordering agreements (BOAs) and Service Subcontracts. You will interface and coordinate with internal ME organizations (such as Nuclear Safety, Criticality Safety, Specialty Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Projects, and Development) as well as with the Procurement organization and the subcontracting entities to plan, award, and execute engineering subcontracts in support of complex and multi-discipline ME objectives.
The primary focus of this position is to improve efficiency and management of ME subcontracts through bid, award, on-boarding, execution, and delivery. This position will also include management of standard Engineering Procurement Document (EPDs) and the related templates, procedures, and process improvements.

Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 and a minimum of two years relevant experience;
OR a Master's degree in engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program with a minimum 3.3/4.0 cumulative GPA;
OR a PhD in engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.
The minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement is applicable up to 4 years post-graduation at time of offer and confirmed by transcript. Beyond four years from graduation, engineering experience will supersede GPA as a requirement for hire.
Typical experience ranges from 3 to 7 years.
Preferred Job Requirements
Current or previous experience as a STR at Pantex or another DOE nuclear site
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience providing technical direction
Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, engineering application of computers, and applications of engineering and construction methods and materials
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to various engineering disciplines
Ability to read and/or interpret complex engineering drawings
Ability to conduct formal presentations to plant personnel and other interested parties
Ability to review projects for technical accuracy

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
