GLASS MENDER MIRROR AND PLATE DIV. INC. Office Assistant in Altoona, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities: Office assistant will perform administrative tasks to support the business's daily operations.

 

Office assistant should have excellent organizational and time management skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software. Knowledge of accounting software Sage 100 Contractor. The candidate should also have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to type at least 45 words per minute. Knowledge of Certified Payroll and Carpenter's Union, welcome but not necessary. A good office assistant should be adaptable, capable of multitasking, and should possess strong problem-solving traits.

 

Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Some of the responsibilities of an office assistant may include but not limited to:

 

  • Administrative Support: Assist other office staff by performing general clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and sending emails
  • *Communication: *Answering phones, taking messages, and greeting clients.
  • *Organization: *Filing documents, organizing financial records, data entry.
    • Payroll
    • Payables

``` - Equipment: *Operating office equipment like photocopiers, voicemail systems, and fax machines  - *Document Management: Handle incoming and outgoing documents, maintaining proper storage, retrieval, and distribution. - Data Entry: Accurately input data into company systems, including customer details, sales figures, or other key metrics. - Financial Tasks: Assist with invoicing, processing expenses, and bookkeeping. - Mail Handling: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing mail, including packages. - Technical Support: Offer first-level technical support for office equipment like printers, projectors, and video conferencing systems. - Customer Service: Interact with clients or customers through phone, email, or face-to-face to provide information and support.

 

Part-time: 20 hours a week.
