JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

( T enure-Track P osition )

The Pennsylvania State University Altoona College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in M echanical E ngineering at the Assistant Professor rank , beginning in Fall 202 4 or when agreed upon. Duties will consist of course instruction across the mechanical engineering curriculum, research laboratory development, advising senior capstone projects, academic advising, development of a robust research program, establishing industrial relationships to support undergraduate research, and active service within their degree program, discipline, division, college, university, and research community. Areas of research may include but not be limited to robotics, controls, automation, material s science, or other related areas of focus.

Candidates must have earned a doctorate in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline by the start date .
