Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Role Purpose

Responsible for providing adequate pharmaceuticals and supplies. Facilitates coordination of procurement, inventory management, information and automated dispensing systems within the specified areas of responsibility / department. Reviews, evaluates and makes decisions for pharmaceuticals and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the pharmaceutical supply inventory.

• Ensures efficient and complete processing of paperwork.

• Assists in the development and maintenance of contracts in conjunction with BJC procurement.

• Assists in the overall management of drug procurement budget.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

• No Experience

Licenses & Certifications

• CPHT

• State Bd Pharm Registration
