Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials to and from production lines. Responsibilities include gathering inventory, staging, stacking, wrapping pallets, and getting products ready for shipment. You will also load and unload trucks. The role is divided equally between the production area and warehouse/shipping area.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Alsip, Illinois.

Work Environment

The Alsip facility is a modern, clean, temperature-controlled environment, recently remodeled in the last 10 years. The workforce is smaller, with 10-15 employees on 1st shift and about half that on 2nd. The Chicago Heights facility is larger, housing a few hundred employees across shifts, and is also temperature-controlled. It is not as new or clean as Alsip but remains organized. The chemicals at both sites are not harmful, and safety is a massive focus. Both locations provide excellent employee benefits.
