Equifax, Inc. Site Reliability Engineer Internship (Summer 2025) - J00160956 in Alpharetta, Georgia

At Equifax, the Summer 2025 Site Reliability Engineer 12-week Internship Program is a gateway to full-time career paths for current university students who are currently pursuing their Bachelor's Degree. The program provides meaningful projects with direct impact on our business as well as exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to network. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. The 12 week internship program runs from May 19, 2025 to August 8th, 2025. Interns are required to follow our hybrid onsite policy of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - onsite for the duration of the 12 - week program. Monday and Friday are remote work days. Interns must be local to the Atlanta area and have the ability to commute to our office in Alpharetta, GA. Living accommodations are not provided by Equifax. We are only considering applicants who are pursuing their Bachelor's In Computer Science or another Technology-related field with a planned graduation date of May 2026. Sponsorship is not provided.

What You'll Do Design, implement and maintain services in Google Cloud with monitoring, logging and alerting - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health Troubleshoot production issues with our Customers and practice sustainable incident response and postmortems Be part of an on-call rotation to support production systems Build and manage systems, infrastructure and applications through automation Write code using programming and/or scripting languages Communicate with Operations and Product team members

What experience you need Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other Technology-related field Completion of Bachelor's Degree coursework with a planned graduation date in May of 2026 Must be local to the Atlanta area Experience or coursework in Java or Python or similar programming languages.

What could set you apart Knowledge of Cloud Services and/or GCP and general-purpose programming languages Knowledge in demonstrated interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed Familiarity with Agile development practices Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting complex solutions Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks Experience with algorithms, databases, networks, security, or software design Ability to adapt to quickly changing project requirements and continuous feedback
