What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Senior Process Improvement Specialist Analyst Position

As a Senior Process Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality. The primary objective is to optimize business processes and workflows to achieve improved outcomes and reduced costs. The Senior Process Improvement Specialist will analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance. This position will lead to optimize processes and deliver effective outcomes, cost savings, improved reliability, and support new initiatives.

What You Get to Do:

  • Drive the Standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.

  • Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities throughout the enterprise, including Operations, Technical Services, Finance, IT, HR, amongst others.

  • Execute and achieve process improvement objectives on schedule in a team environment.

  • Support strategic objectives to increase productivity, improve quality, and enhance safety.

  • Use of Lean and Six Sigma principles to analyze problems associated with technical issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Lead process improvement projects utilizing sound project management techniques and see projects through to completion.

  • Provide fact-driven root cause analysis.

  • Develop Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans to implement process improvement.

  • Develop and maintain process training and certification documentation to ensure that operators clearly understand all position requirements.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.

  • Ideally 10+ years of related work experience, and approximately 6+ years of process improvement experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience in the use of advanced analytical tools.

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams of people and manage structured plans.

  • Experience managing and implementing change, particularly in process improvement.

  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.

  • Self-motivated, have a phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.
