Evans General Contractors, LLC Project Safety Manager in Alpharetta, Georgia

Summary/Objective

To that end, we are seeking an experienced Project Safety Manager to work at one of our projects in Savannah, GA to support Evans goals regarding safety and compliance with policies, procedures, and local, state and federal regulations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety audits on personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
  • Prepare written reports of audits/observations at jobsites and provide recommendations for corrective or preventive measures.
  • Work with Project Team to develop and implement solutions to safety-related issues at the jobsites.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, DOT, etc.)
  • Monitor the implementation of the Site-Specific Safety Plan, all safety protocols and policies, risk management strategies, and on-site project requirements
  • Assist Project Team in identifying safety hazards and implementing corrective measures.
  • Conducts training for employees on safe work practices.
  • Ensure that all incidents, safety infractions/violations and concerns are reported to the Corporate Safety Director
  • Report on health and safety awareness at the jobsites
  • Act as safety liaison between the Client, Subcontractors, and all applicable Government Agencies
  • Develop Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) as needed for the project.
  • Ensure that daily reports are submitted as required.
  • Perform and/or assists with investigations of incidents or accidents.
  • Keep and maintain all Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Hour, preferred.
  • Previous experience overseeing multiple projects in safety related role, preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with OSHA regulatory requirements and training relating to construction.
  • Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Candidates must live in the Savannah area or commute to Savannah, GA.

Environment/Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs and ladders, use hands and fingers, Work may be done in equipment, on the ground, in trenches, in confined spaces, or at heights, depending on the project.
  • Ability to see clearly when wearing safety glasses.
  • Ability to work outside in the weather/elements year-round.
