Job Title : Principal Application Developer

Location : Alpharetta, GA

Job Duties:

ADP Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Application Developer at our Alpharetta, GA location. Responsibilities: Participate in relevant aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, constructions, testing, reviews, and demonstrations. Develop and review software requirements, create design documents, write programs, and package, test, configure, and deploy software. Work with clients, product managers, analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement information technology solutions. Develop and enhance software programs and data structures that meet business objectives. Design, develop, test, and refine software deliverables. Review and create system, software, and functional design specifications.

Education & Experience Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, related Engineering discipline or a related field plus eight (8) years of related experience. Employer will accept a master's degree plus six (6) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree plus eight years of experience.

Work Experience :

Two (2) years of experience must include: Java/J2EE; Big Data concepts and development methodologies; Hadoop ecosystem including MapReduce, Hive, Sqoop, and Oozie; NoSQL databases including HBase or Mongo; SQL databases including, Oracle; Application frameworks, including Spring, Struts, and J2EE; UI programming technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, Dojo, and jQuery; Source control applications, including GitHub and SVN; and Agile or SCRUM development environment.
