Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) delivers firm-wide services and platforms including network infrastructure, core computing, mainframe, end user technologies, application infrastructure and workplace support services.

The IT Hygiene Manager is responsible for the continuous delivery of programs, projects, and tasks to maintain the currency and reduce the risk of Morgan Stanley's E*TRADE I.T. environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated agile team of planners and doers using best practice service management and technology methods for patching, vulnerability resolution, end-of-life infrastructure replacement / retirement, software maintenance, and other hygiene related activities for infrastructure, applications, and security in the Morgan Stanley ETRADE environment. Potential to also include other affiliates Eaton Vance and Shareworks in the future. • Lead the facilitation of strategies and roadmaps for maintaining compliance with vulnerability and patching policies collaborating across infrastructure, application, and security resources to develop and maintain procedures to attain that compliance. • Continuously manage a portfolio of work using standard SDLC and ITSM methods to maintain compliance with vulnerability and patching policies, along with the currency / hygiene of the ETRADE IT environment. • Develop, maintain, and evolve reporting of all program activities across all responsible technology domains. Align to existing Morgan Stanley policy / standards requirements to address compliance. • Lead technically skilled resources executing actual hygiene work across 4 core infrastructure domains of LINUX, Database, Windows, and Storage technology domains with the future expansion into other technologies. • Lead technically skilled resources executing actual hygiene work across various application / middleware domains of JAVA, Apache, and other application domains. • Lead technically skilled resources focused on the hygiene of the security applications and security infrastructure within the E*TRADE environment including authentication systems, threat detection and monitoring, and other related security components. • Lead and participate in the governance framework providing metrics and regular status reporting to both departmental resources and various risk committees across the enterprise. • Collaborate with Morgan Stanley's security teams to understand company requirements for infrastructure and application hygiene / security health / policy requirements and lead the execution of work to those requirements. • Maintain a continually visible view of portfolio of work and scheduled deliveries.

Skills Required: • Core knowledge of IT infrastructure technology and related operational management processes including server, storage, data center, networking, cyber security tools / processes, ITSM, etc. • Core knowledge of IT application technology and related operational management processes including middleware, data management and other application related technologies (JAVA, Apache, etc.) • Experience working with risk management for infrastructure and application environments at an enterprise scale (e.g., IT Security, Cyber Security, Security Operations, Governance) • Managing a team of individuals leading a technology operation maintaining the general health and operational availability of that environment. • Knowledge and experience with Cyber security related technologies and processes. • Knowledge and experience working with key IT operational process related to ITSM. • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and organization principles. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate requirements effectively, coordinate team discussions, present results, and gain agreement on approaches. • Extremely detail-oriented, very organized and value the integrity of data. • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, capability switch context quickly and work on multiple streams of work concurrently. • Ability to build and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and leverage this to achieve work-related objectives. • Project Management experience overseeing various sized work efforts. • High proficiency with MS Office productivity tools (Word, PowerPoint) with advanced skill in data manipulation using Excel

Skills Desired • Experience of investment banking technologies • Experience of auditing within a technical environment • Working knowledge of Operational Risk and associated regulations (e.g., Basel, SOC(Security Operations Center, SOX)

Education and Qualifications • Educated to degree level • 10-15 years directly relevant experience
