Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as the primary consultant to an assigned customer base, focused on providing tactical support. The HRM provides a full range of HR support, including coaching and development, employee engagement, and policy interpretation. The HRM will deliver seamless HR assistance and support to MarketSource clients and employees.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain an effective level of business acumen about their assigned customer base

  • Serve as primary liaison with assigned customer base; accountable for ensuring HR solutions are adding value to the customer

  • Participate in program implementation and expansions which includes job description creation

  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and communicate findings proactively within the HR department

  • Ensure consistent application of HR Policy guidance and interpretation; ensure HR processes are optimized in assigned business unit

  • Work with all assigned business unit on initiatives that improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and employee retention

  • Identify training needs for assigned customer base management team; work with Learning and Development Team to ensure effective development plans are in place

  • Collaborate with HRBP regarding recommended salaries for new hires, promotions, transfers, and other compensation increases are fair and consistent and within compensation guidelines

  • Oversee Worker’s Compensation process to include new injury entry, notice only entry, and management of existing claims; escalate all settlements to HRBP

  • Provide guidance and input on assigned program restructures

  • Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance

  • Work with HRBP to review and approve decisions regarding involuntary termination of employees; partner with legal department as needed/required

  • Conduct feedback and coaching meetings with new managers and their teams; coach managers on development initiatives

  • Manage, mentor and coach business unit HR coordinator

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-directed, motivated, and engaged; willing and able to commit the time necessary to accomplish position objectives

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in HR (or related business) encompassing multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, organizational development and design, talent development, performance management and other generalist responsibilities
