This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fleet Team at UtiliQuest, LLC as a Fleet Coordinator supporting our Georgia Operations Team. The Fleet Coordinator reports directly to the Center Manager and supports our Georgia Operations Team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, while supporting the Operations Team and Corporate Fleet Team with company initiatives.

    What you’ll do as a Fleet Coordinator

  • Monitors all fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.

  • Evaluates equipment for condition and risk factors according to state and Federal DOT requirements, as well as internal operating procedures and processes.

  • Troubleshoots repair problems, reviews work orders, and provides cost estimates, technical direction and assistance.

  • Tracks and coordinates warranty repairs and maintenance agreements for outside repair in conjunction with company guidelines.

  • Provides continuous oversight for asset accountability and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

  • Assigns trucks to UtiliQuest employees and maintains equipment distribution lists, along with fuel cards.

  • Monitors compliance/reporting as it relates to the vehicle fleet; procure state required certificates of title, insurances, and arrange for registrations and state inspections.

  • Coordinates internal title transfers on vehicles transferred from one state to another state and newly purchased vehicles.

  • Conducts periodic vehicle and equipment inspections across the region, including 30-50% travel to field locations.

  • Manages physical assets (e.g., machinery, vehicles, equipment, supplies). Evaluates, obtains and allocates physical asset resources, maximizes their use and projects future asset needs.

  • Manages and establishes working relationships with vendors and corporate representatives (e.g., suppliers, consultants, contractors)

  • Acts as the point of contact on all vehicle violations and toll queries within the assigned area, and collaborates with Fleet Administrative Assistant on timely payments.

  • Applies critical thinking skills to understand problems, analyze facts and anticipate results to make decisions based on available information and meet deadlines.

  • Maintains ongoing records for fleet assets with strong attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy.

  • Promotes and maintains a strong safety culture and ensures quality standards are being met.

  • Operates company vehicles in a safe manner and maintains a professional appearance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older

  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

  • One (1) or more years of experience in automotive fleet services, logistics or related experience required.

  • Prior experience with title and registration compliance in a fleet setting is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Lease Plan or Fleet Management Systems preferred.

  • Experience with vehicle repair and maintenance, collision repair and systems/components design preferred

  • ASE Certification is a plus.

  • Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company.

  • Successfully pass all pre-employment requirements

  • Upon employment, will be subject to random drug testing in compliance with federal, state and company guidelines.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Google Suite with the ability to learn new systems and software related to the role.

  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time, locally or within the assigned region.

  • Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to project professionalism in client and employee interactions.

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

  • Collaborative approach and friendly attitude when supporting Teams

    Physical abilities & exposures

  • Completes and maintains all training

  • Drive safely and follow company safe driving policies

  • Maintain punctuality and attendance at all shifts and training sessions

  • Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools

  • Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally; bending at the waist; standing and or walking for extended periods of time

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee shall follow all safety rules at all times

  • Will need to have the ability to work a flexible schedule (some evenings and weekends) as needed

    Salary Range $21 - $24 / hr (based on experience) *The pay scale for this position is $21 - $24/hr (Salary is commensurate with experience)
