We have an entrepreneurial spirit that's brought us a lot of success and we're looking for a Director of Supply Chain to join the team in our Alpharetta headquarters.

The Director of Supply Chain manages and maintains a fluid Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process integrating all Lines of Business leading supply planning across 440 retail stores and 15 food service distribution centers to help deliver a best-in-class customer service experience. The Director will apply analytics to make sound business decisions in the area of demand / supply planning, distribution fulfillment, stocking strategy, inventory classification, service levels, lead time management, safety stock decisions, supplier management, new product introductions and new store implementations.

This role will play an integral part in managing strategic initiatives defined through the long-range plan and partner with the Business Transformation Team on technology and process mapping to integrate technology solutions supporting initiatives across demand / supply planning and food service distribution planning. Key management oversight for this leadership position includes optimizing execution strategies to deliver upon targeted food service distributor and re-distributor inventory levels while mitigating out of stock risks, excess inventory unsalable write-downs, and contracted product stocking levels / monthly SKU velocity reviews while supporting compliance to company traceability and product recall programs.

NOTE: We have a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and two days working from home.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Supply Planning

  • Support development of Microsoft D365 planning tools in partnership with IT Transformation Team and Lines of Business leveraging experience in demand planning process design and implementation.

  • Lead Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) strategic meetings with senior leadership team.

  • Create and maintain a rolling 18-month Master Planner plan for the food service distribution network, re-Distributor network and supporting 3PL storage providers of finished goods.

  • Lead inventory planning discussions with oversight of planning parameters that support sales demand fluctuation and inventory replenishments across all locations and distribution facilities.

  • In conjunction with procurement, establish multi-year contracting volumes across key categories (i.e., Vegetable contracts, Sugar contracts, 3PL Storage finished goods space requirements)

  • Partner with procurement and distribution team to define and implement comprehensive strategies to reduce costs, mitigate supply risk, improve quality, shorten lead times, and reduce inventories to maximize product shelf-life and mitigate unsalable write-down risk for perishable products.

  • Partner with New Product Development teams and R&D to improve Product Lifecycle Management i.e., LTO's, New product launches, End of Life, Special Order (low SKU sales velocity), and Auto-Ship.

  • Work with LOBs to understand promotional and advertising program events, demand impact and stocking timelines, LTO (Limited Time Offering) SKU introductions.

  • Partner with Retail Operations and Retail Facility Teams to lead supply requirements for new store openings.

Distribution Planning

  • Leverage your direct experience in managing distribution networks to develop the food service distribution supply plans across 16 food service distributor and re-distributor facilities (DC Master Plan).

  • Develop inventory management programs and processes. Communicate changes to inventory and facilitate teams on actions to change inventory positions as needed.

  • Partner with procurement and direct-to-consumer leadership teams to build processes that enable efficient planning and procurement of finished goods in support of holiday pre-build programs.

  • Motivate and inspire the distribution team to provide continuous improvements and optimization of inventory levels while delivering customer fulfillment levels that meet or exceed established targets.

  • Proactively address supply chain issues such as poor service levels, shipments from suppliers and stockouts.

Performance Metrics and Service

  • Develop systems, process, procedures, measurement tools and reports to communicate and manage our customer shipment plans and promises.

  • Develop and implement supply chain management tools and KPI's for measuring, monitoring and proactively addressing planning / procurement issues.

  • Develop executive level updates and presentations to communicate strategies and progress.

  • Utilizes supply chain expertise to partner with business leaders to lead cross-functional teams through all project lifecycle phases (e.g. strategic planning, architecture, design and implementation).

  • Partner with HBH technology leaders to create and define supply chain technology solutions to enable deeper analytics across each Line of Business.

YOUR TRACK RECORD

Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business or related, along with 5+ years of direct experience leading SIOP within the CPG or food industry - deep experience in select areas of expertise (e.g. Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Freight Management, Network Strategy or Network Design) combined with a broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain. Experience in food service (restaurants/bakeries/etc.) also desired. Experience managing Microsoft D365 Demand planning or similar demand planning software.

Experience leading business transformation initiatives with process design, development and /or re-engineering and systems integration to support those processes. Demonstrated leadership experience leading cross-functional initiatives spanning retail operations forecast management and distribution planning. Experience in KPI analytics design and software / reporting implementation. Advanced experience in Excel / spreadsheet modeling and using Advanced Planning software tools.

Consumer Packaged Goods, restaurant or similar experience preferred. A high sense of urgency and personal drive is essential for navigating this transformational environment while managing the implementation of Microsoft D365 design efforts delivering upon enterprise forecasts across all Lines of Business, demand / supply planning processes and tools supporting the retail and distribution network.
