What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Commercial Logistics Representative Position

As the Commercial Logistics Representative, you will support execution of the marketing strategy through scheduling logistics of product purchases and sales commitments for Colonial Pipeline Marketing (“CPM”) and Colonial Terminal Operating Company (“CTOC”). In this position you will be responsible for monitoring market conditions, supporting the implementation of strategies and analyzing new opportunities. The Commercial Logistics Representative will also identify and propose new business opportunities and strategies to be analyzed and considered by the marketing affiliate. The position will oversee cultivating, fostering, and developing external relationships with their respective peers in support of executing commercial and logistics activities.

What You Get to Do:

  • Schedule all Product Purchase and Sale commitments for all modes of transportation and all geographies on behalf of Colonial Pipeline Marketing and Colonial Terminal Operating Company.

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Supply and Distribution Manager to optimize CPM’s financial outcome and executes scheduling duties with the intent on maximizing CPM’s results.

  • Monitor and manage the impact scheduling changes have on CPM’s KPI’s for optimal results.

  • Develop excellent internal and external partnerships, attending partner/industry Scheduling related functions and other social gatherings as time permits.

  • .Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the System or Record (ETRM) relative to all deal capture and recording of products movements.

  • Understand and support accurate deal entry and daily position reporting as well as ensuring that all product movements are accurately recorded within the System of Record (ETRM).

  • Manage and/or supports various projects as assigned and develops opportunities for business improvement.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, logistics, marketing, advertising, or communications related field from and accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.

  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in marketing, refining or a midstream organization.

  • Experience in pipeline, terminals, truck, and/or rails logistics.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data and use the information to make informed decisions that improve CPM’s financial results.

  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
