What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Central Maintenance Coordinator Position

As the Central Maintenance Coordinator, you will optimize system wide maintenance and serve as the subject matter expert, providing operational support and guidance for issues/concerns across the system. The Central Maintenance Coordinator will ensure alignment with Product Scheduling, Planning & Utilization, and other stakeholders in responding to planned/unplanned events. In this role you will also aid in the oversight of Equipment Maintenance Procedures and Critical Inventory List.

What You Get to Do:

  • Coordinate system wide maintenance (planned and unplanned) to maximize product movement.

  • Establish readiness for maintenance activities across the system and communicate any service or maintenance opportunities and address with appropriate stakeholders.

  • Develop strategy regarding planning and execution of maintenance projects to share with Technical SMEs in the field, Central Maintenance Planners, and Central Maintenance leadership.

  • Analyze data received from field project execution to improve upon project completion times and provide recommendations on efficiency enhancements.

  • Assist Technology to develop a tool to provide cross-functional real-time maintenance project updates, while managing short and long term planning providing an exemplary level of efficiency.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and skills/knowledge development among the Technician workforce.

  • Coordinate reviews of the Equipment Maintenance Procedures including development, review, revision, and overall effectiveness to ensure regulatory compliance.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in pipeline operations.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Strong knowledge of emergency response and safety regulations.

  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude regarding pipeline operations and equipment.

  • Knowledge in project management and strategic thinking.

  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
