Accounting Manager

Kelly is seeking an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Full-Charge Bookkeeper to work for our client, an international company that designs, manufactures, installs, and supports products for municipal and industrial clients, on a direct hire basis! This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference within a small office environment that has seen great success and little turnover.

The Accounting Manager will:

• Serve as the sole local accounting staff, responsible for managing all financial operations for the US branch of the company

• Collaborate with project managers and oversee/audit project budgets and timelines

• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, cash flow, and other reports

• Work closely with an outside accounting firm for the annual audit process

• Negotiate commercial terms on project contracts with municipal customers and contractors

• Handle light HR and payroll responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Oversee credit and collections process

• Handle company insurance policies

• Process payroll using ADP

• Manage and forecast cash, bank accounts

• Manage budgets

• Handle sales tax in various states

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• 5+ years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience

• Relevant industry experience (manufacturing, engineering, government contracts, project accounting) preferred

• Experience with Sage would be a plus

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
