ABOUT THE ROLE
The Temporary Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by assisting with the handling, storage, and organization of goods and materials. this is a temporary position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of the warehouse.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Assist in unloading deliveries and verifying incoming goods against packing lists and purchase orders.
Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring they are properly labelled and accessible.
Help with inventory checks to ensure materials are correctly accounted for.
Assist in picking and preparing orders for operations
Ensure that items are accurately selected and staged in accordance with field specifications
Assist with regular stock counts, ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked and updated.
Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to management for resolution
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring that items are stored properly to avoid damage.
Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, or other machinery) as needed, with appropriate training and safety procedures
Help maintain warehouse organization, ensuring aisles are clear and shelves are properly stocked
Assist in labelling products or inventory items, following standard operating procedures
Follow all safety guidelines and best practices for warehouse operations
Maintain a clean and organized work area, minimizing potential safety hazards
Assist with other general warehouse tasks as needed, depending on workload and operational requirements
Provide support to staff and management during peak periods or high-volume activities
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED or 1-3 years of equivalent experience.

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
