DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Experienced Repair and Maintenance Technician
Pittsburgh, PA
As an Experienced Repair and Maintenance Technician, you will work on-site with our Facilities Service Department at our Science and Technology Center in Allison Park PA.
You will report directly to the Facilities Manager, you will coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment, including electrical systems, construction projects, pipe repair, and plumbing. If you're ready to take on this role, apply now!
Responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and review facility and equipment maintenance to ensure all compliance and health and safety regulations / requirements are met * Recommend new methods that may be beneficial to lower maintenance and operating costs * Repairs and installs complex equipment building systems, including pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment * Sets up and operates machine tools for repair or fabrication purposes * Installs new machinery and equipment * Promotes and implements 6-S standards for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety * Performs wiring, welding, and sheet metal functions as needed * Orders replacement parts and restocks inventory * Develops, implements, and reviews facility and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations * Recommends cost-saving methods for maintenance and operation
Qualifications: * Three (3) or more years of prior maintenance, repair and plumbing experience required * Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and ability to be covered by our auto insurance provider required * Electrical experience preferred * High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required * Ability and willingness to work weekends when required and move items over 80 lbs
