Your Role
The Operations Team Lead (Distribution) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and activities within the distribution center environment. Responsibilities involve leading a team of associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a high standard of productivity and safety.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise a team of distribution center associates
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.

``` - Oversee daily operations on the distribution center floor, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes - Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet productivity goals - Ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety standards - Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment processes - Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any quality issues - Assist in managing inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities - Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure proper stock levels and minimize discrepancies - Track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and safety - Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary - Communicate effectively with management, peers, and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues - Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods
Physical Attributes:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2+ years in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory role
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP or Oracle experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., WMS)
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations
- Reliable with excellent attendance history
