Lehigh Valley Health Network Observation Monitoring Technician in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Job Summary: Maintains close observation of the video monitored patients at a central monitoring station. Provides continuous surveillance of assigned patients through a camera monitoring system or constant roving to observe the video monitored patients on the patient care unit. Observes, interprets risky patient behaviors, communicates with the patients care team members, and documents in the patients electronic medial record in regular intervals. Oversees patient/staff communications to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Education - Required:
High School Diploma/GED
Education - Preferred:
Successful completion of Technical Partner or Patient Observation Assistant training/orientation. and
Successful completion of Crisis Management Course.
Experience - Required:
1 year Technology-related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
Ability to work with multiple interruptions and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to understand and use basic medical terminology.
Certifications - Required:
Health Services\BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days
