PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Inventory Specialist in Allentown, PA

What will you do?

The Equipment Inventory Specialist will review and inventory existing machines and equipment, spare parts and spare equipment, condition and status of spare parts and equipment, and develop a manageable database for tracking inventory levels and status. This equipment and machines support the manufacturing systems of pharmaceutical activities. The position will organize and inventory a diverse portfolio of equipment, and will work with Engineering and Technicians to identify current conditions, status, and availability of existing parts and equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and Excel

  • Ability to read and understand equipment information, such as part number, model number, vendor information, serial number

  • Ability to research equipment information through company/OEM websites, catalogs, and databases

  • Ability to communicate with equipment vendor/OEM representatives for equipment, part, and machine information

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to read, understand, and adhere to the SOPs and policies of a GMP environment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to physically perform duties of position which include:

  • Climbing ladders

  • Must be able to walk frequently

  • Must be able to sit

  • Must be able to lift and or carry the max of 70 pounds

  • Must be able to bend frequently

  • Must be able to squat

  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level essentially

  • Must be able to use both right and left hand for repetitive action, simple grasping, pushing and pulling and fine manipulation

  • Vision requirements for this position: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three dimensional vision) and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) including but not limited to filtering face masks, N- 95 masks, half face masks and safety glasses is required to perform this position
