Engineering Drawing Detailer
Duties include but are not limited to:
For assigned projects, exercise project CAD workflow, including but not limited to setting up initial drawings numbers and formats, checking in/checking out files and drawings from system, exercising CAD file back-up and revision control process, filing master drawing package, superseding drawings as required, exercising concurrent engineering in a timely manner.
Works with sketches, computer models, or verbal information to independently complete 2D and/or 3D tasks or other deliverables on time with high quality.
Creates and modifies drawings from markups provided throughout the various stages or phases of a project lifecycle.
Using the appropriate tools and equipment pertaining to the development and preparation of neat, accurate, and legible detailed engineering and assembly drawings, intelligent symbols and blocks, and 3D tasks utilizing current and future computer-aided technology/software.
Digitizes, edits, and revises engineering drawings of components, parts, circuits, structures and/or assemblies.
Supports department initiatives and enhancement projects as assigned.
Performs drafting quality reviews on projects per company’s QA/QC procedure.
May assist with preparation of Bill of Materials.
Performs other related duties, as assigned or as required.
The Engineering Drawing Detailer provides production support for engineering drawings. The Engineering Drawing Detailer must be detail-oriented, possess strong CAD skills, and be able to support engineers’ drafting activities leading to final and detailed design drawings, intelligent symbols and blocks as well as tasks pertaining to 3D modeling. This is union position with I.B.E.W Local 1600.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree in Drafting Technology or construction-related CAD program
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in drafting and/or construction-related CAD, preferably with emphasis on electrical, mechanical or civil discipline utilizing AutoCAD software, specifically AutoCAD Electrical and/or Inventor 3D
Strong listening and communication skills
Well organized and strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
