Description:

Short & Sweet: To safely operate the separators and evaporators and their associated equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures while also monitoring the quality of incoming raw material and outgoing products.

Schedule:

  • 12 Hr. Shifts
  • 2,2,3 Schedule
  • 24/7/365, weekends & holiday's required

Job Responsibilities

  • Covers breaks and lunches for hourly Whey department positions

  • Operate the HTST, separator, evaporator and CIP system

  • Start up and shut down HTST, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements

  • React quickly and adjust / troubleshoot equipment to maintain product specifications

  • Complete Daily Checklists

  • Handle and test chemicals

  • Enter data into MES computer system

  • Hourly testing of product

  • Recognize and communicate potential deviant situations

  • Communicate clearly with the Quality Department, Cheese Production Operators and department management

  • Apply lockouts to equipment as required

  • Any additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum

  • Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Action oriented and the capacity to drive for results
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions
  • Able to lift 55 lbs. from floor to mid-chest continuously (0" - 39") and climb stairs hourly, climb inclined ladders hourly, and vertival ladders daily
  • Must be able to support 24/7/365 operation, including weekends & holiday's
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred

  • Prior food industry experience
