Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our clients team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform three-way matching to verify purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices for accuracy.

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring correct coding to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH, wires, and check payments.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements.

• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.

• Collaborate with procurement, receiving, and other departments to address and resolve invoice or payment issues.

• Assist in preparing reports for month-end closing related to accounts payable.

• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

• Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage ect)

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
