Job Description Position Summary: In this role, the HR Generalist provides the full range of HR support to the manufacturing facility in the areas of positive employee relations and engagement, talent acquisition and retention, employee development, compensation, and benefits administration. This position is also responsible for partnering with the site's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team to support the sites safety programs and initiatives. Reporting Relationships: The HR Generalist reports directly to the Sr. Human Resources Manager. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Act as a business partner and advisor to the frontline supervisory team. Provide guidance and advice on employee relations issues, HR policies and practices, and legal risk. Understands the business and implements HR strategies to align with business goals. Develop and administer key HR policies and processes. Recommends changes to affect continuous improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Partner with and support department managers with performance management and employee development. Lead employee relations issues and investigations. Oversee employee engagement strategy to motivate the workforce, reward performance and retain workers. Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly requisitions. Partner with EHS to ensure OSHA compliance. As a subject matter expert on Washington Wage and hour practices, identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR function and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. May occasionally perform special projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Experience: Effective oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence leadership and interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Able to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA, and related state and federal regulations.
