is seeking aMid-Level Software Engineerto provide technical expertise to assist in solving cross-cutting engineering challenges to assure Warfighting success. You will provide strategic leadership and task execution in the areas of software development practice, methodologies, tools, metrics and data analysis.
What would you do in this position?You will use your creativity, foresight, and mature judgement in anticipating, planning for, and solving problems.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Degree (BS degree is desired) and 5 years of Software experience.
- Knowledge of software development activities across all phases of the SW development lifecycle as well as modern languages (e.g. Python, Java, Javascript, C/C++, etc.) and tool sets (e.g. Integrated Development Environments, SQL/NoSQL database, etc).
- Current knowledge/experience with DevSecOps pipelines and supporting technologies including agile development processes and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.)
- Some knowledge and familiarity with containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
Desired:
Understanding of the nature of how the efforts and resultant products affects the advancement of digitally based tools and techniques. Military or OSD experience.
