Responsibilities The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy. Major Duties for this position include: Participates in the management and execution of iterative product development and delivery activities, to include developing a product roadmap and creating product backlogs. Acts as the voice of the customer, representing and advocating for their business needs. Ensures customer satisfaction by translating the business need to IT development work and ensuring delivery of business value to meet customer expectations. Directly engages development teams to ensure the product vision is clear, requirements are satisfied, and quality products offering business value are developed and delivered using Agile software development methodologies. Reviews and approves deliverables and ensures compliance requirements are met. Provides input to backlog priorities within the parameters of scope, budget, and time. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience in applying Agile Methodologies; Experience in leading a team of employees in the development and maintenance of IT products; and Experience in communicating, both orally and in writing, products visions to the development team and key stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at the advertised grade level.
