An Associate Sales Representative is the entry-level position within our Sales Career Path. You are beginning or are in the early stages of developing your sales career and employing the process of selling which involves contacting potential customers, identifying their needs, persuading them that our Stryker products can best satisfy those needs; closing the sale by agreeing the terms and conditions; and providing after-sales service and support to include case cover in theater.

Key Responsibilities

  • Start to gain an understanding of the clinical application of the broader Stryker portfolio to offer our customers an understanding of our wider product range.

  • Learn how to conduct trials and evaluations of product in theatre and clinical environment as required.

  • Make observations of customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to follow up on and introduce new or additional Stryker product and/or support.

  • Learn to record details of customers and maintain a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives. Start to develop the skills needed to prioritize where to allocate time and resource and how to grow business.

  • Learn how to conduct price negotiations, produce sales quotations, manage contracts and provide added value propositions that maximize Stryker profitability.

  • Develop an understanding of the local healthcare environment. Understand the patient pathway through a hospital and the role we play in providing product for suitable treatment. Gain an appreciation for the main departments in hospitals and what interaction we have in those areas.

  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Creativity and Team Spirit.

  • Additional responsibilities as directed by RSM (Regional Sales Manager). Properly segregate the waste generated at your workplace.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Engineering, Biomedical, Administration, Sales or Marketing or related experience in a medical, scientific field or technical career

  • Previous experience in the Medical Devices industry and solid knowledge of the healthcare system will be highly beneficial

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Sales or Marketing role, ideally in the Medical devices sector

OR

  • Minimum 2/3 years of experience in a technical scientific role (Physiotherapist, nurse, clinical or biomedical engineer) with strong sales attitude

  • Ideally experience in Operating room, dealing with surgeons and clinical staff

  • Excellent English level C1

  • Advanced competences with Microsoft Office

  • Territory: Madrid - Exceptionally Castilla La Mancha, León or Extremadura

  • Base location: Madrid

  • Work type: field-based (20% travel)

  • Presence in Operating Room: 10 %
