Position Summary:

As an Encapsulation Supervisor, you will assist in the facilitation and execution of any and all encapsulation production activity as well as effectively supervise a team of encapsulation technicians as well as maintain all process and documentation output.

Position Responsibilities: • Primary day to day objective is to troubleshoot across the department ensuring efficiency and quality of outputs to include but not limited to coordinating breaks, to ensure Encapsulation Machines are running to Capacity. • Understand and routinely adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Responsible for evaluating, modifying and creating SOP’s that will effectively accomplish the task of ensuring a clean and safe work environment at all times. • Ensure all personnel are trained on proper documentation and all documentation is filled out legibly and correctly. • Direct all encapsulation techs 1 thru 3 in their operations for the successful completion of their assignments. • Create and maintain reports of daily output in area. • Conducts daily start-of-shift department meetings encouraging dialogue, de-briefs, organization assessment and needs; • Maintain visitor-ready work environment keeping department area organized, safe and clean-as- you work. • Works closely with other Production Supervisors and Managers, supports training sessions and performs follow-ups with staff to improve SOPs as the routine standard • Participate in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures and Quality programming; • Communicates with Encapsulation Technician I and II, Supervisor, Production Support Team, and Production Managers to improve operations, quality and team performance; • Cross-checks, inspects and verifies encapsulation outputs against, formula and quality documentation; • Notifies peers, Production Manager and/or QA with any concerns regarding the possibility of nonconforming product or environment; • Mentor temporary labor force ensuring productivity and quality of department outputs. • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Skills & Requirements: • High School Diploma, GED or sufficient experience pertaining to this job • Minimum 2 years in a GMP manufacturing environment • Minimum 3 years experience in lead, supervisory position. • Mechanical aptitude a plus • The ability to work in a fast paced environment. • The ability to understand written and spoken information in English in work related documents, trainings, and day to day operations. • Monitoring operation by watching gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly. • Ability to read temperature gauges, scales and graduated cylinders/pitchers. • Ability to work in a team. • Know basic math and how to use a calculator. • Know how to meet quotas • Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions. • Ability to tell and communicate when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Recognizing there is a problem. • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. • Ability to lift or move heavy boxes, drums, etc. on a regular basis. • Ability to follow all safety measures. • Intermediate math skills and ability to use a calculator • Intermediate mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues • Ability to read and understand machine schematics and diagrams

Physical Demands & Working Conditions: • Must be able to work in a production environment with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, and lifting throughout the day. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move 500 lbs. drum dolly. • Must be able to stand for an entire workday.
