Job Description

To maintain, repair and provide preventative maintenance to equipment both in the yard, shop and on occasional jobsites. A mechanic will mostly work independent, have a great diagnostic skills and will need to provide both self-motivation, and the tools and knowledge required to perform the task at hand.

Job Requirements

  • Be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic schematics

  • Diagnose all systems on our equipment and fleet including but not limited to engines, hydraulic, electrical, drive train, computer and software and body components

  • Be able to work on all different types and sizes of equipment and fleet

  • Must have a current, valid, and clean driver’s license and demonstrate the ability to drive safely and uphold TLC’s image (care for the community)

  • Holding a CDL is a plus

  • Be able to physically handle the demanding work schedule and use of all different types of heavy tools and machinery

  • Must have the ability to work with others and maintain a great attitude

  • Accountable to attend trainings and look for ways to self-educate

  • Accountable to organize, maintain and supply all paperwork associated with your responsibilities

  • Maintain and continually grow your knowledge with our industry

  • On time each and every day with a great attitude and the willingness to work with others

  • A willingness to learn from and respect others and share your knowledge with them

  • Be able to demonstrate great customer skills at all times and places

  • Able to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, engine, drive train, body components, and any other items needed to keep all units in good working order

  • Have a minimum 5 years of experience
