Job Title: Controls Assembler

Job Description

Assembly of electrical and mechanical components that are used in mobile water tanks, trailers, dump bodies, stationary structures, and piece work. This position requires the use of hand tools, wiring, and the ability to work with blueprints/schematics to assemble components.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components for various structures and mobile equipment.

  • Utilize hand tools, wiring, and blueprints/schematics for assembly tasks.

  • Ensure all components are assembled accurately and meet quality standards.

  • Follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

  • Perform repetitive work and follow verbal instructions.

  • Stand, bend, and climb for long periods of time.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs as required.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment.

  • Proficiency in wiring, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

  • Basic knowledge of learning ability and numerical ability.

  • Skill in using hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical assembly.

  • Capability to work with tape measures and general labor tasks.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working inside a controls assembly room inside a shop for 75% of the time and outside in the yard for 25%, exposed to various weather conditions including cold, hot, or wet. Ear protection is required. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00
