THE DOWNS OF ALBUQUERQUE Drop Team Member in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Responsible for emptying slot machines containing unaudited Bill Validator Acceptors (BVA) and transporting the BVAs to the Count Room for a counting of the contents. The Drop Team Member counts the contents of the BVAs and reports all results. Drop Team Members typically start their shift in the early morning hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicates with management and other staff members in an informative and respectful manor.
  • Safeguards the Drop and Drop Count Room assets.
  • Performs labor functions such as replacing BVAs in each slot machine.
  • Obtains and opens the BVAs from a cart or trolley.
  • Empties the contents in designated area.
  • Assists in sorting currency and paperwork.
  • For each BVA, records cash and paperwork activity.
  • Participates in the count and verification of soft drops.
  • Verifies each shifts bundled and strapped currency.
  • Scans all ticket vouchers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
  • Proficiency with computers and ten (10) key adding machines.
  • Experience handling large sums of money.

Other Qualifications:

  • Drop Team Members must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The Drop Team Member may be required to work extended hours and irregular shifts based on business needs.

Licenses/Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain New Mexico Gaming Work Permit.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a casino environment with regular exposure to second-hand smoke, bright lights and a high noise level.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, up to ten (10) hours daily. The team member must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
