AARP Foundation SCSEP Librarian Aide (Albion) in Albion, Iowa
The AARP Foundation/SCSEP program is a training program for people 55 or older, who are not working, are actively looking for employment and who can meet income guidelines.
Eligible applicants are sent to Host Agencies to train and update skills. Eligible applicants are paid to attend classes, Job Fairs, job interviews and their Host Agency assignment.
The goal of the SCSEP program is to assist eligible applicants transition into suitable employment off the SCSEP program.
Hourly position, $7.25/hr 18-20 hrs per week, training position
Library Aide duties may include:
- Assist patrons in identifying or locating materials
- Check circulating materialsin and out
- Open and sort mail per directors instructions
- Answer the phone
- Identify and repair damaged material
- Maintain the shelves by author or Dewey number
- Notify director when supplies need reordering
