POSITION PURPOSE The Manager, Community Engagement at Central Willamette Credit Union (CWCU) is pivotal in identifying, developing and executing community investment strategies, fostering strategic partnerships, CU advocacy, promoting financial education & wellness initiatives in alignment with CWCU\'s growth goals. Reporting directly to the CMO and working with other executives across the organization, is integral in fostering strong relationships with community stakeholders and partners, advocating for social responsibility, and championing CWCU\'s mission, vision, and values while driving a positive impact on people\'s lives. This role is chiefly responsible for identifying community partnerships and other related opportunities for expanding CWCU\'s brand equity and growth goals. The Manager will stay abreast of evolving community trends, adapt strategic initiatives, and strengthen awareness of CWCU\'s brand within the communities it serves. They will cultivate relationships with local stakeholders and coordinate the implementation of community initiatives in collaboration with internal and external leaders, team members, and volunteers. Responsible for spearheading the credit union\'s community involvement, sponsorships, and philanthropic activities. They will also lead the development, implementation, education, management, and measurement of corporate social responsibility programs to align with CWCU\'s mission, vision, and values. QUALIFICATIONS: \' Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders. \' Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. \' Must have a strong set of negotiation skills. \' Strong understanding of community dynamics, social issues, and economic trends. \' Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. \' Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. \' Excellent organizational and communication skills. \' Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. \' Strong fluency in community affairs and communications best practices. \' Strong storytelling, writing, and communication skills. \' Event planning skills which include excellent organization, carrying out multiple tasks at the same time, thorough and clear communication with all event stakeholders, creative problem solving and high level of attention to detail. \' The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. \' Ability to work effectively both with direction and independently. \' Experience using MS Office Suite
