Hourly Range: $22.00/hr. - $28.75/hr.
Surgical technologists are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team of practitioners providing surgical care to patients. He/She handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/She has an understanding of the procedure and anticipates the need of the surgeon, while being on constant vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

A surgical technologists must successfully complete a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technology or complete an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Military, Coast Guard, or Public Health Service. He/She must hold and maintain an unexpired certification in surgical technology or meet the requirements to be grandfathered in the profession as outlined by New York State Health Laws, or licensed LPN.
