IPRO Health Services Researcher in Albany, New York
The Health Services Researcher will design and conduct evaluations of Medicaid policy and programs. The ideal candidate will have experience with the design and implementation of quantitative research studies, including analysis of the relationships between the healthcare delivery system design, patient healthcare utilization, spending, population characteristics, provider characteristics, and contextual factors impacting health such as poverty, education, and housing. The primary data sources will include claims/encounter data, public health records, and community-level population files.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Design evaluations of Medicaid and public health initiatives which relate to healthcare access, quality, cost-effectiveness, equity, social determinants of health, and population health. Must be able to assess clients information needs and design research studies appropriate to the goals and resources of each project. Design and implement data collection and analysis strategies. Work with project managers to assure deliverables meet deadlines and standards.
