Description

We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our clients team in Albany, New York. In this role, you will be tasked with handling a variety of duties, including processing payments, maintaining customer records, and managing vendor accounts. This role offers a long term contract (about 9+ months) employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle data entry tasks

• Manage payment processing and cancellations for the office

• Maintain and update spreadsheets, including open authorization spreadsheets

• Correspond with vendors and staff to answer queries

• Manage physical handling of folders, including lifting and placing them in file cabinets

• Oversee both physical and electronic records filing

• Handle emailing, scanning, and faxing duties

• Cover the reception desk as needed

• Process incoming and outgoing mail

• Monitor vendor accounts and ensure timely processing of authorizations and payments

• Learn and navigate computer programs specific to the role

• Perform bookkeeping and accounting functions as required.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for managing and processing data.

• Skilled in using Microsoft Word for documentation and report creation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for detail oriented communication and scheduling.

• Knowledge of Auditing procedures for maintaining accuracy and compliance.

• Proficient in creating and managing Spreadsheets for data analysis.
