Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Field Director, Thought Leader Liaison - West. The territory includes the following states: CA, WA, LA, AL, AK, IL, MI, and OH.

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking an individual with a strong work ethic and ambition to join our team as a Field Director, responsible for leading a portion of the TLL team responsible for fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the field of dermatology. The Field Director will report to the National Director and be responsible for assisting the National Director with the management of the thought leader liaison (TLL) team.The Field Director will hire, manage, and develop TLLs. The Field Director will assist the National Director in building the franchise’s medical education strategy, including oversight of the promotional speaker bureau.The Field Director will support content development of the promotional speaker bureau in partnership with the brand marketing team. The Field Director will assist the National Director in building the thought leader engagement strategy across different stakeholders to include physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, and super/private equity groups. The Field Director will help to build the medical congress engagement and education strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage and develop Thought Leader Liaisons

  • Build and manage new hire on-boarding program

  • Lead cross functional teams to build stakeholder engagement strategies

  • Assist in creating the franchise medical congress engagement and education strategy and lead team to pull-through execution

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to oversee the operational execution for the promotional speaker bureau

  • Partner with brand marketing to build educational content for promotional speaker bureau

  • Oversight and communication of speaker bureau performance metrics

  • Oversight on processes for selection, training, and compliance requirement for National Faculty speakers

  • Explore and implement program formats and delivery options to maximize educational reach

  • Maintain complete understanding of ACCME/HCC/Pharma Guidelines

  • Strict adherence to the legal and regulatory guidelines for medical education

  • Strong understanding of FDA, OIG, and J&J policies relating to medical education, medical congresses and sponsorships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of 10 years of related industry experience is required.

  • 3 years of people management (TLL, RBD, District Manager and/or Product Director) experience required.

  • 2 years of experience in professional (KOL) engagement, medical education management role preferred

  • Experience concentrated in biotechnology sales or marketing required

  • Product focus on medical dermatology therapeutic markets strongly preferred

  • Experience with the copy review process is preferred

  • Strong track record of success as demonstrated through annual performance ratings and/or professional accomplishments and awards required

  • Demonstrated ability to directly lead teams required. Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel in a cross-functional team environment required.

  • Advanced presentation skills and business acumen required

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations and identify trends and creative business solutions required

  • Advanced problem solving, and decision-making skills required

  • This is a field-based position which requires up to 40% travel throughout the United States and will require evening events, and overnight and weekend travel. Candidate should reside within a reasonable distance to a major airport.

The base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950. The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
