THE OPPORTUNITY

As the SME (Mobility) Expert within our team, you will be exposed to one of the world’s most exciting projects working with ground-breaking and innovative technologies.

You will be working in multinational and multidisciplinary project teams and provide high quality services to our clients.

Project Work

The role is required to support the delivery of strategic projects/ contracts for the Royal Commission of AlUla (RCU). Support RCU and their consultants to ensure that suppliers are delivering on their contract obligations. Management and support of the RCU procurement process.

This role is required to manage all mobility operations requirements in city/county scale and establish the mobility operations standards, requirements, service levels and integrate it with other planning and operations functions towards implementing a world class mobility in AlUla.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish required operation strategy, operating model, initiative strategy for mobility in AlUla to create and maintain road map of leading sustainable solutions and implementation.

  • Manage, set and maintain operational standards for city/county mobility in accordance with the Vision and Objectives established in AlUla framework plan.

  • Developing and implementing public transportation system including infrastructure deployment and operation whilst interfacing with key stakeholders and sectors to ensure seamless fleet operations in line with the operational model.

  • Developing and implementing emergency transportation plans to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and goods during emergencies and disasters.

  • Developing and implementing programs to manage and regulate the use of commercial vehicles and truck routes to minimize their impact on local communities and infrastructure.

  • Developing and implementing the Electrical/Hydrogen (and other sustainable means) mobility infrastructure by analyzing the technical, operational, and business insights from existing deployments of various mobility technologies for planning and implementation.

  • Provide guidance on the mobility cases where applicable and ensure proper operation strategy in place.

  • Provide requirements and inputs for planning and design to ensure operability and integration with existing transport and roads network.

  • Work closely, align and integrate with other operation functions and key stakeholders including interface with mobility operation providers for their core skills, and strengths that can help to scale up and minimize deployment risks.

  • Establish required standards to ensure full operation of this function (mobility operation).

  • Work with consultants and SMEs to produce required service operating procedures, service level, standards and guidelines.

  • Lead related initiatives implementation toward mobility integration and objective realization.

  • Measure and report on the team performance and service delivery to ensure all targets are met.

  • Set required KPIs and Ensure operational delivery against defined KPI’s.

  • Manage, develop and plan required resources to support mobility management and operations.

  • Manage and mentor team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.

  • Provide input to the sector’s strategy from the Department's or Section's perspective in line with

  • RCU overall vision and mission.

  • Develop the Department's or Section's objectives, KPIs, annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets.

  • Contribute to the preparation of the Department's or Section's annual budget and monitor the financial performance of the Department or Section.

  • Implement and execute the Department's or Section's policies and procedures. Oversee the overall performance of the section and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.

  • Ensure effective staffing, professional development and deployment of staff of the Department or Section in consultation with the Sector Lead.

OUR IDEAL PERSON IS SOMEONE WHO:

  • Holds a 4-year university degree with a major in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar environment/capacity of technical expertise with 5 years of this being in Saudi Arabia

  • Is technically strong with robust experience in Microbus System for planning and scheduling (IVU)

  • VISUM software from PTV for planning and modelling (PTV), PTV Certificate on PTV RTA, VISUM Model Training

  • Is fluent in English, verbal and written with Arabic and other languages being a huge plus.
