JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Point of Sale (POS) and Credit Card Processing Software Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for specific Car Wash Point-of-Sale software solutions. This position will also spearhead the development and enhancement of our payment processing solutions across all car wash POS platforms. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business success. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen, an understanding of the car wash and payments industry, and a passion for delivering products that exceed customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog, creating clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, customers, and the development team to ensure product goals are clearly communicated and understood.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the product provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, driving the development process and ensuring team alignment.

  • Validate product functionality by conducting user acceptance testing and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate product success, inform future development priorities, and adjust the product strategy as necessary to meet business objectives.

  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.

  • Stay informed about advancements in POS technology and retail industry best practices to keep the product offering competitive.

  • Establish and articulate a clear vision for the credit card processing software, aligning with company objectives and customer needs.

  • Act as the primary card processing point of contact between stakeholders, including clients, partners, and the internal development team, to ensure consistent communication and understanding of product objectives.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback to refine product features and address any issues.

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in payment processing and financial software to maintain a competitive edge.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES:

The position works under the general direction of the Director of Wash POS Systems, exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance in the department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in complex systems and engineering environments including some experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in the software industry, preferably with Point-of-Sale systems and credit card processing.

  • Excellent understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience with Agile processes and tools such as Azure DevOps.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a customer-centric approach.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and build consensus.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with POS hardware and software technologies is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of credit card processing, payment gateways, and industry compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS).

  • Proven track record of managing product lifecycles and delivering software solutions that meet market needs.

  • Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., CSPO) is highly desirable.

  • Ability to create and generate reports, track metrics, create presentations

  • Knowledgeable in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
