Role Objective Responsible for the execution and management of overall Enterprise Data Strategy. Oversees the design and development of systems used for managing data such as databases, data warehouses, data stores. This also covers the tools used to maintain, monitor, connect, curate, and update/move data between those systems. Partner with business and technical teams throughout the enterprise, ultimately provide strategies and process that facilitate timely availability of actionable data. Lead database team in all aspects of data responsibilities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Direct management of development and implementation of an organization Data Management Strategy, cross-functional work with Data Governance team, database administration (on-prem and cloud), Data Architecture, management of organizational data manipulation tools, and management of organization data visualization tools Develops strategies and implement ongoing improvements within Data Management to ensure quality and integrity of data Communicate with leaders to govern data-related initiatives happening through GOJO to ensure they comply with strategy, architecture, and security Prepare business plans, budget, and roadmaps related to data architecture/administration functions Understanding Enterprise data needs and alignment of data strategies to these needs Responsible for the coordination of all technology associated with data warehousing, data management, business intelligence and analytics platforms Direct supervision of multiple database administrators, data engineers, and data architects. Provides thought and technical leadership on how the organization defines, captures, analyzes, and reports data from a variety of disparate data sources to drive businesses and performance excellence strategies Architect and implement systems needed to meet business needs. Manages the day-to-day operations and the strategic oversight for data architecture and administration operations Partner with cross functional teams to understand use cases and gather requirements to design, architect and build framework of data management solutions Partners with IT teams and business units to devise a data strategy that addresses industry requirements Research new technology and implement as appropriate. Ensure existing systems and tools are upgraded and supported by respective vendors. Cultivate and manage relationships with technology and integration partners. Ensure FDA Validation requirements are met from a data systems perspective. Development of necessary documentation, working with Quality Assurance, and ensure standards are being followed. Ensure data systems are appropriately licensed, updated, and patched to remain compliant/secure. Implement and maintain enterprise middleware ETL tool to meet business requirements Design, document, construct and deploy data architectures and applications (data lake, warehouse, etc.) Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master's Degree (in computer science, mathematics or a related field) required Minimum ten (10) years
