Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Golf Course, Air Force Academy, Colorado. Responsibilities Checks on upcoming programs and tournaments at Eisenhower Golf Club daily. Performs daily transactions, which include the selling of greens fees, golf car fees, and golf shop merchandise. Communicates the need to make change for the cash register drawer to the Pro Shop Assistant or the Operations Manager. Performs end of day POS closing procedures, deposits funds, and assists in conducting end of the month inventory counts. Daily replenishes stock as needed and daily assists in creating and maintaining attractive merchandise displays. Assists in keeping the pro shop clean through necessary measures such as vacuuming, dusting, and the cleaning of windows. Assists in the cleaning and organization of all storage areas. Ensures that all patrons are in accordance with the dress code policy. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience and knowledge of Golf Course Operations. Requires experience in dealing with the public. Experience in clerical, office, and retail sales store work. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems in order to make change when receiving payment from customers. Must have strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. This position is subject to furlough from 1 November to 31 March each year. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty such as days, nights and weekends. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
