Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Closure Project Manager C or B (Tank Farms) to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Closure Project Manager C or B manages projects to close tanks previously used to store nuclear waste. Provides leadership for the multi-year planning of engineering, procurement and construction necessary to close existing tanks.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities at Closure Project Manager C(Level 70)
Establishes diverse project management teams, providing policy direction, broad program direction, and establishing priorities needed to complete closure of assigned tank(s). This includes bulk waste removal, heel removal, isolation of tank, characterization and seal tank with grout.
Ensures timely submittal of all required progress and status reports.
Manages project cost, schedule, scope, and subcontract matrices, while adhering to Site quality, environmental, and safety objectives with some guidance from manager or higher-level Closure Project Manager.
Develops required report documents including recommendations of baseline changes for approval by manager. Escalates complex or unusual changes to manager.
Reviews and monitors risk analyses and exercises decision authority to define and approve or escalate corrective actions and set priorities.
Communicates concise and accurate oral and written presentations to internal and external customers regarding project implementation plans, status, changes and new approaches, including moderately complex technical, organizational and financial issues.
Guides team through moderately complex analysis of problems involving numerous engineering disciplines. Develops alternative action strategies/plans to meet or exceed defined milestones.

Additional Responsibilities at Closure Project Manager B(Level 71)
Manages project cost, schedule, scope, and subcontract matrices, while adhering to Site quality, environmental, and safety objectives.
Guides team through complex analyses of problems involving numerous engineering disciplines. Develops innovative alternative action strategies/plans to meet or exceed defined milestones.
Provides technical closure project management expertise to assigned project management teams, peers, senior management and external customers.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience in tank closure operations, technical project management or related practical experience as defined in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Associate degree
Understanding of work hazards, safety programs, business concepts, DOE orders, regulations and contract scope as it applies to tank closure.
Ability to apply and integrate the principles and methods of multiple engineering disciplines including design and construction in addition to business disciplines such as procurement, planning, scheduling, cost/budget control.
Control Account Manager (CAM) qualification.
Radiological worker qualified.
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

USD $99,000.00/Yr.
