The Raymond Corporation Sr. Human Resources Generalist - Addison, TX in Addison, Texas

Malin’s Sr. HR Generalist will be responsible for a broad range of functions that support and enhance the employee experience, from orientation and onboarding processes and tasks to employee engagement, administration, and benefits.

After offer acceptance, the Sr. HR Generalist assumes responsibility for Malin Associates, ensuring all requests, inquiries and employee cases are completed ensuring first class, comprehensive support during their tenure. This position offers exposure to several functions within our People Services operations within a close-knit team of “people professionals”.

Essential responsibilities include:

Orientation

  • Preparation including new hire notifications to other partnering departments, gathering new hire IT resources and items, setting up self-serve employee accounts, new hire communication.
  • Conducting an engaging and informative orientation event on day one of employment – providing new hires a memorable first day experience of industry information, company insights, benefits, compensation, employee programs and employee system access.

Onboarding:

  • Administer and manage the onboarding workflow system to ensure all tasks associated with the Associate have been completed to ensure all access, resources and information have been provided to the employee.
  • Ensure I-9 documents are valid and completed in accordance with I-9 compliance requirements and legal standards.

Benefits & Employee Programs

  • Communicate and follow up on questions regarding new hire and annual enrollment.
  • Ensure all new hires understand benefits available to them and when to enroll.
  • Assist with enrollment questions, including online enrollment portal questions and navigation through the system.
  • Manage qualifying life events for benefit enrollments, ensuring employees understand their options and deadlines.
  • Complete monthly reporting for finance regarding enrollments per plans.
  • Administer partner sites for employee self-serve programs such as apparel and safety shoes.
  • Advise employees on leave of absence and accommodation options.
  • 10% Travel

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Manage the department’s helpdesk system, answering a brand range of questions, from HRIS and pay, to inquiries regarding company policy and processes.
  • Implement, communicate, and administer programs and policies.
  • Engage in proactive, positive employee relations strategies and initiatives. Drive activities that promote engagement by being present at a variety of events and different office locations; and provide counsel and support to resolve inquiries and concerns for leaders and employees.
  • Manage organization of status changes, employee movements and separations; engage in productive and meaningful conversations with employees on performance, development, and retention.
  • Manage documentation, employee files, and E-verify processes with strict confidentiality.
  • Update and maintain the timekeeping system in collaboration with the payroll analyst to ensure timely payroll processing; partner with managers to ensure employee timecards are accurate.

Exit Interviews and Offboarding

  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights from departing employees.
  • Analyze exit interview data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Manage the offboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and company property is returned.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees during the offboarding process.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources; or combination of education and working experience in lieu of will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in Generalist role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of employment law, compliance, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, handle interruptions effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project management with high level of detail orientation and organization.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security in all work-related matters and interactions involving employees.
  • Problem Solving – Demonstrates a strong ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and devise effective solutions.
  • Relationship Building – Proactively fosters positive relationships with colleagues, management, and external partners.
  • Exemplary communication skills – ability to warmly convey information in writing, via video conference, over phone or in person, advanced level writing skills.
  • Technically savvy – previous experience working with HRIS system, running reports, exporting data and working within Excel; intermediate level skills in Office 365 Suite, including Outlook and Teams.
