A local Farm Equipment Company located in Alto, MI is looking to hire dedicated construction workers to join their growing team. These positions require operating and maintaining various machines, loading and unloading frequently heavy materials, and following directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, and be a hard worker.
Description:
The Construction Laborers will work on construction sites or within our facilities. They are responsible for several on-site tasks, such as removing debris, loading, unloading, and assembling materials and equipment, and assisting with operating equipment. Full-time and company vehicles provided.
Minimum Responsibilities:
- Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools.
- Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites.
- Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding.
- Check with Foreman that they are punching in using the correct cost code.
- Assisting with set up and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
- Following all health and safety regulations.
- Some out of town projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Dress appropriately for site conditions and safety requirements.
- Ability to Weld is preferred.
- Prior construction work experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required. Chauffeur's license is required to operate any of company's equipment.
- Willingness to undertake training when necessary.
- Good attitude and a team player. Take direction from superiors and peers without complaint.
- Remain healthy, strong, and fit due to the climbing and heights encountered on the job.
- Ability to pass random drug screening.
