JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University Is seeking to hire part-time FWS help! Earn $14/hour with Nittany Lions Read/Nittany Lions Count (NLR/NLC)!

NLR/NLC students seek to enhance the early reading, math, and science skills of children in the surrounding communities. Working directly with community organizations in the community, NLR/NLC students assist and support the program staff, engage directly with the children, and provide one-on-one and/or small-group instruction. Candidates must have weekday availability between 9:00-3:00, with a final determination as to dates/times upon hire. Candidates should be prepared to make a 6-8 hour per week commitment. This position is for the 2023/24 Academic Year.

All positions with NLR/NLC require the acquisition of the Three-Public Clearances for Employment:

• PA State Police Criminal Background Check• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form• FBI Criminal Background Check.

Students who received a Federal Work Study award have the opportunity to obtain a job and perform related duties either on campus, or remotely, if possible and at the discretion of the employer . A Federal Work Study award does not guarantee a job position is available.
